State exactly what is being claimed
Separate direct observation, witness interpretation and later retelling. Avoid expanding a source beyond what it actually says.
Preserve the documentary chain
Identify the originating agency, release mechanism, date, document code and the archive that supplied the copy.
Record what is missing
Redactions, incomplete metadata, unknown sensor settings, image compression and OCR errors are part of the evidence record.
Label fact, inference and hypothesis
Official does not automatically mean complete; unexplained does not automatically mean extraordinary.
VISUAL ETHICS
Interface artwork, reconstructions and generated imagery are atmosphere, not documentary evidence. Every illustrative image must be clearly separated from source photography and archival scans.
COMMERCIAL SEPARATION
Products are identified as commercial artifacts and use external Redbubble checkout. Store links never change the evidentiary status of a dossier.
