GoFast Resolution Methodology

AARO published a technical appendix describing how analysts estimated the location, speed and heading of the object commonly known as GoFast.

The methodology uses manually extracted display data from the publicly available FLIR video and documents the calculations used in the official resolution. Sensor-video analysis depends on geometry, platform motion and incomplete metadata; apparent image-plane speed is not the same as physical speed.
